SALES EXECUTIVE - JOB DESCRIPTION

Mutt Motorcycles is seeking a highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic Salesperson to join our team. As a Salesperson, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our unique range of custom-inspired motorcycles to customers. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, and you must be able to meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer service.

We are looking for a salesperson who is able to build strong relationships with customers, identify their needs and preferences, and provide tailored solutions that meet those needs. The successful candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to actively listen to customers to understand their concerns, and adapt to provide effective solutions. You should also have a passion for motorcycles, and be able to convey what makes our motorcycles stand out from the crowd. Through training, the candidate must become knowledgeable about the product or service they are selling, and able to provide detailed information about features, pricing, and benefits of different options.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a best in class customer experience, and be able to sell smarter, not pushier.
  • Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, and understand how to translate their needs and preferences in to the right advice and options for them.
  • Promote and demonstrate the unique features and design elements of Mutt Motorcycles to prospective customers.
  • Provide customers with detailed information about financing options, warranties, and after-sales services offered by Mutt Motorcycles.
  • Conduct test rides with customers and provide them with a detailed explanation of the motorcycle's performance and safety features.
  • Follow up on leads and maintain relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business and build a strong community around the Mutt Motorcycles brand.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and keep up to date with industry trends, new models, and product improvements.
  • Work with the rest of the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and promote the Mutt Motorcycles brand and products.
  • Attend and participate in local custom motorcycle events, ride-outs, and shows to promote the Mutt Motorcycles brand and products.
  • Maintain deal-specific data and prepare sales reports that enable the business to forecast and track deal revenue.
  • Create quotes and perform other administrative tasks associated with getting the deal to the point of internal handover.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in sales, marketing, or a related field is an asset.
  • Passion for custom motorcycles 
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen to customers' needs and respond appropriately.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and motorcycle endorsement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of customers and attend custom motorcycle events and shows.

FAVOURED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a salesperson, with a track record of achieving sales targets and building long-term relationships with customers (ideally in the motorcycle industry).
  • Knowledge of financing options and sales techniques in the custom motorcycle industry.
  • A baseline level of knowledge of custom motorcycle culture and the Mutt Motorcycles brand/ its products.
